Welcome to the University of Nebraska-Omaha Panhellenic Council Homepage

The National Pan-Hellenic Council is an organization that helps achieve the goals and objectives of the national fraternities and sororities that hold membership.

Membership
All of these fraternities and sororities are predominantly comprised of African American women and men, but none of the organizations exclude members because of their race, creed, or color.

These fraternities and sororities participate in an intake program during the academic year. Each organization has specific requirement for membership.

The Divine Nine
Nationally, these fraternities and sororities are known as the Divine Nine and are Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Omega Psi Phi, Kappa Alpha Psi, Delta Sigma Theta, Phi Beta Sigma, Zeta Phi Beta, Sigma Gamma Rho, and Iota Phi Theta.

UNO currently has five of those organization chartered on campus: Omega Psi Phi, Delta Sigma Theta, Phi Beta Sigma, Zeta Phi Beta, and Sigma Gamma Rho.

To learn more about each of these organizations, contact the Student Organizations and Leadership Programs office at (402) 554-2711. You may also visit their office on the first floor of the Milo Bail Student Center or email Sara Naughtin at snaughtin@mail.unomaha.edu.
